Dr Zryan Sadik is a Lecturer in Business Administration with over a decade of experience as a Quantitative Researcher and Data Scientist in the financial services sector. He holds a PhD in Financial Mathematics from Brunel University London, UK. His research, which integrates alternative data for forecasting crude oil prices, was recognised with the Best Paper Prize from Oxford University Press in 2020. Published in leading journals and featured in the Handbook of Alternative Data in Finance (where he serves as an editor), his work focuses on forecasting asset prices and volatility using news sentiment and alternative data. Bridging industry and academia, he has developed predictive models and trading strategies for major firms. As an educator, he has designed and delivered courses in finance and data science. He is passionate about translating complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making in business and finance.
